Now to the TV. The antenna that I ordered has yet to arrive so I used my cable connection to define the quality of the picture and sound. I must say that the cable source provided a picture and sound just about as clean as I could expect for a 720 resolution TV. It is the same overall picture as the LN22A650 I have installed in computer room except it is has tad smaller picture and footprint.

The sound is nothing to brag about; but, it is not tinny nor full. It is the sound provided by two small speakers. I can hear all that I need to hear for a kitchen TV.

From a comparative aspect, I would suggest that a LN19A650 is better than this LN19B650 because the footprint of the A is larger than the B thusly providing more support. Neither stand Swivels, so no issue. Touch of Color (ToC) is no real issue except it appears to cost more for some reason. Profit I reckon would be the answer. Personally I would prefer a small bezel compared to the bezel on a B or A. I just do not like paying more for clutter such as the ToC provides.

If you are reading this for the first time you may not want to read the below even though it might have something to do with your choice making processes. I am pleased with my buy regardless of my somewhat aside comments. It does everything that I bought it for.

I start this review with the full intent of returning to complete it as soon as I get all the pieces together. Missing from my list is an antenna so that I can get airborne TV. The location of the TV will be such that my local Cox cable cannot or better yet will not make a connection for me that has to be split. They are more than willing to drop another line at the current monthly recurring cost which their policy. So I am going with airborne instead and that requires an antenna and it might be shipped between now and August 10 according to Amazon.

The TV, Boss. The TV. O.K. Since I have no thought about the TV working yet, I do have a few comments about elements about the TV. This is my third LN650 from Samsung. The other 2 are exactly what I ordered. This one is not as advertised by Amazon and Samsung. Amazon said it has a Swivel Base. Mine does not even though it is a Model LN19B650. Samsung technical staff said it does not come with a swivel stand. Additionally, Amazon said it is a RED Touch of Color. Mine is a BLACK Touch of Color. Samsung said it should be Gray (or is that Grey?). Luckily, I had a modicum of innate hook-em-up experience and setting the TV up was honestly simple especially compared to a full blown high definition TV. I fully expected Amazon and Samsung to no less tell the buyers the truth. Others have written the same or similar comments about the lacking items. What else is missing? I sure hope that I will not have to depend on my local monopoly to provide the source. When I get the antenna and hook it up I will fill in the missing and admittedly the most vital matters: The TV itself.

This T.V. is fine save for the sound quality which is not fantastic. Many is the time when the sound seems garbled.

I’ve been looking for an affordable lcd with 120Hz refresh. I came across this unit, seeing that the description, in multiple places, claims 120Hz. I also went to Samsung’s (the manufacturer) page for this model. It explictly says the unit does NOT run at 120Hz.

Check it yourself in the Specifications page – ” LCD 120Hz = No”

Nice looking, sleek TV. Picture quality and station reception is superior to a Sharp brand in my possession. Problem with fit of power input in back of TV; the plug is NOT a excellent fit, and I had to tape it down to get the set to work. Sound quality is harsh and tinny. I would have second thoughts about buying it again.Samsung LN19A450 19-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, Black

Fantastic value and best quality i could find for a small set. the controls are all on the front so you dont have to fumble for them and the design is symmetrical vs. some sets that add curves to the overall dimensions.

I was told it would be here tues the second of september and they just called me to let me know they do not deliver on those days to my town. And they will call me later this week to let me know when they will be delivering it! I ordered this a week ago with standard shipping (should be 3-5 days). I recently found out that a truck leaves for my side of Washington (the eastern side) on Monday, and does not return to the warehouse in Seattle until Friday.

Well, the TV just got to the warehouse today (Tuesday), meaning it will be sitting in a warehouse for a week until they finally get someone to deliver it the last 250 miles.

When ordering this item, I would recommend you check to see what the closest Pilot Air location is to you. If it is quite a ways away, you could expect to have an arrival date much, much later than you were hoping.

As I do not yet have the TV, I will write a review on it when I really get it.

The TV is OK, nothing like the series 750, but please Samsung, the red touch of color starts to peel off after a few months.

I have the 750 series in my living room and it is in miserable condition peeling al around.

Well this is my second Samsung LCD TV- my other is a 53″. I bought this one for the bedroom with fact of my first Samsung has been flawless and when we have company our guests always compliment on the quality of the picture. This TV as well has a fantastic picture and no complaints about the sound. My only let down was for the “Touch of Color” bezel. Excellent job Samsung for your marketing – if you place your TV in a darker room – don’t waste your money on a colored bezel because it doesn’t show up – there is no ambient glow like they would lead you to believe – when I called Samsung’s customer service about this issue – suprise – the associate read off the que card how sorry they were that there was a misunderstanding – guess I wasn’t the first and I’m sure I won’t be the last – but shame on me for not doing a better job on my home work.

This Samsung replaced my 8 year ancient 26″ Sony. I do not have a HD signal yet, but I can’t imagine receiving a better picture. The ancient Sony weighed at least 100 pounds and I had to get my wife to help me get it out of the cabinet. This Samsung is light as a feather compared to the Sony behemoth. I have been waiting years for the LCDs to come down to my price range and I’m glad I waited. A brilliant product!
